A bedroom chest of drawers isn't something you normally associate with dream furniture, but when you consider how important the storage in a bedroom is then they can be crucial. Wardrobes store most of our clothes and shoes, but we do need somewhere to keep our smaller things like underwear and socks. Smaller things would get lost in a wardrobe so the bedroom chest of drawers is the ideal solution. It doesn't matter if you only have a small amount of space for a set of drawers. There are vast ranges of different sized pieces, which will fit. The humble drawer chest is no longer humble as the styles are gorgeous and can look stunning with matching furniture in the room.
It's fair to say that the bedroom chest of drawers has undergone somewhat of a transformation. Long gone are the days when they were just boxes with drawers in where you shoved small items that may never see the light of day again. Today the bedroom chest of drawers has been elevated to things of beauty. If you want small bedroom chest of drawers you can go for the 3 or 4 draw versions. If however you want space aplenty to store lots of clothes then there are 6, 7 and even 8 drawer chests. Your final choice will come down to personal taste and what you want to use your chest of drawers for. The beauty of sets of drawers is they can double up as other things as well. You can have a large mirror on top and use it as a dressing table. You can even have a TV and DVD player stored on top if that's your thing. Once you have decided what bedroom chest of drawers you want then you can begin to plan what you do with them and, yes the chest of drawers can then become an exciting piece of furniture.

Inherited a rare cherry chest,cat got on it, next day on the mirror glass finish was a cloudy paw print,HELP!?
The finish on this cherry piece is like a mirror finish that has been kept in pristine condition, cat jumps up and sits on it a minute when everyone is away, when we return, a cloudy paw print was left....I have tried every furniture polish on the market and it will not bring back the shine or take away the print....does anyone know anything that will work...I am just sick ...and very mad at my cat! Thanks.
Before trying a hair dryer, use a small cloth with a few drops of rubbing alcohol on the backside of the chest ( to make sure it wont stain). If it doesnt stain, rub the alcohol in a back and forward motion with the grain. That will pull the moisture out. If it does stain, use about a teaspoon of mayonnaise with a soft cloth, rub it in the stain and put a tablespoon of mayo on the top. Let it sit overnight and wipe it away. I have NO idea of why mayo works, but I read it in a woodworker's magazine years ago and have used it several times with success. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
