It is almost impossible to comfortably work on your computer without a computer desk. You will be straining your body in some crazy positions and you will therefore get your work done in a slower pace. Every office should invest in proper computer desks if they do not want their employees to end up shooting up the place.
According to how much money you have you can get a computer desk made of pretty much any material that you wish today. The common materials are metal and wood, what types will again vary. A hardwood desk would cost more than the light wood.
As there are a million different factors and features to a computer desk the price can never be just one for all of them. Most desks will begin somewhere around $150 and that is for children. The bigger and more sophisticated they are the more they will cost.
As with every other piece of furniture, computer desks also have different styled finishes. You can guess the type of finishing that would go on a computer desk in the Vatican. These different types of finishing also have a part to play in the cost of the computer desk.

Close to the mobile computer desk is the portable computer desk. It can 'shrink' for you to put it away into a bag and carry it to your next office wherever that may be. It is very convenient for those who are their own office.

How to build a castle around my computer desk?
I am trying to turn my computer room into an "adult enchanted forest fairy room". I would like to build out of plywood a castle to go around my computer desk, and have the towers on the side to use as storage shelves. I am painting murals on the walls, and if you have an idea or picture of one just to give me some more ideas I would appreciate that also. The castle deminsions would be roughly 6ft tall by 61/2 wide. Thanks for any suggestions..

That's a pretty nifty castle. Granted, it's a little broken, but I've always liked the picture. Castles are one of my favorite things ever, so building in your computer room would be awesome. Make sure you add a drawbridge so nobody interrupts you
