I have an open floor plan between my living room and dining room. I have chocolate brown sofas and light blue walls with white base boards and crown molding and a light cream carpet. The dining room has varying shades of hardwood flooring and a dark brown dining room table. (The walls are off white at the moment....they will be painted at a later date)
Your room sounds lovely! If you're open to an ottoman-type coffee table, you could do a print that picks up the brown, blue, and cream. And then tie it to your dining room with a complementary table runner or placemats.
