Mirrored Armoire

White Jewelry Armoire - A Beautiful Home For Your Jewelry
A jewelry armoire should not be confused with a jewelry box. While we all know jewelry boxes as small, usually wooden, containers that can be put anywhere, an armoire is actually a piece of furniture. They are a very a welcome addition to your bedroom due to the fact that they are both functional and attractive.
The literal French definition means 'closet, chest or a place for implements or tools'. The armoire that we know of today began to be first seen in 16th century France. The original armoires were large cabinets with ornate doors which were used for storage. Although their original use was for general storage, armoires have evolved into a number of specialized cabinet types. From their inception as a large cabinet with two doors; they became available in all different sizes depending on what the owner was going to store in them. Not to be out done, the ladies of the French aristocracy demanded a model designed specifically to house their jewelry, and the jewelry armoire was born.
As opposed to a cabinet, the jewelry armoire was made to be elegant and visually pleasing. Originally they were made with two doors on a base with four legs and were typically quite ornate. These were both practical and attractive, and their popularity soon spread throughout Europe. Depending on the fashion of furniture at the time, these went from four legs, to three legs, and back to four again. Even back in the days of the earliest genesis of this use for jewelry storage, the white jewelry armoire was one of the most popular colors.
The basic design of today's jewelry armoire hasn't changed a lot, it has just gotten more contemporary. Still on legs, they can now be square, rectangular and even round. As well as two doors, you can have sliding doors or drawers. The most popular design today is the white jewelry armoire. The usage has changed obviously. These days any expensive jewelry which we own is kept in a safe or safety deposit box. A white jewelry armoire seen in today's modern bedroom tends to house costume jewelry, accessories and make up.
No matter how nice your bedroom looks now, a white jewelry armoire will definitely make it look better. The color will fit in with any decor that you have, you just need to decide on the style. The old square design in still very popular, but other models are gaining in popularity. Round or semi-circular units tend to be on three legs with curved matching doors and drawer fronts. For those with limited floor space, armoires can also be wall mounted. When assembling, just don't attach the legs. There are many ornate styles available. A popular one is where a lid lifts up and on the inside of the lid is a mirror, and when you open the doors there are drawers behind. If you want to use your armoire to keep your make up or other similar items, this design is perfect.
Shop around before you buy your white jewelry armoire. Like all furniture, there are vastly differing degrees of quality. If you see a style of armoire that you like, but it's way too expensive, take a note of the manufacturer and model. Then check it out online, there are some real bargains to be had by shopping this way.
Whatever you use your white jewelry armoire for, you will definitely have a useful piece of furniture for many years to come.

I love your taste.
Keep the rug a white and add color through painted picture frames and art.I love the bed too.
In a world so dominated by color, it's nice to see the absence of color. It is refreshingly relaxing.
For colorful frames check out places like Marshalls or TJ Maxx .
