are you suppose to match the oak grains when building a cabinet.?
actually i am building an oak wall and i put up a piece of chair rail i noticed had a lot more darker lines in it and less waves. i am wondering if you need to try to match up the grains of the wood when building things.
It does make it look nice if you are able to, but even the best pros are not always able to do this. I would just find similar pieces and use them. Once you get it all together and stained and finished you will not ever be able to tell.
